There was a time when a ticket to a UNLV Runnin’ Rebels game was the toughest ticket in town to get. The Rebels home, The Thomas & Mack Center, was sold out on most game nights. With a capacity of 18,500, it was one of the best home court advantages in college basketball. On December 29, 1986, the T&M saw a standing room only crowd of 20, 321 file in to see the Rebels take on the David Robinson led Navy Midshipmen (The Rebels won 104-79).

Official 2012 Portland Timbers Schedule

No one really expected former WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz to successfully defend his title on Saturday night  when he stepped into the ring against undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. Although Ortiz was able to hold his own through the first 3 1/2 rounds, it was evident Floyd was the faster, more skilled fighter, and would more than likely wear Ortiz down. But instead, we were all treated to another controversy involving Mayweather.
